Terms of Service
1. Acceptance
By accessing or using owlCMS, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
2. Use of Service
owlCMS provides a headless content management platform including AI-assisted content generation, programmatic SEO tooling, and a REST API. You may use the service for lawful purposes only.
You agree not to use owlCMS to generate, publish, or distribute content that is illegal, harmful, defamatory, or infringes on the intellectual property of others.
3. Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. owlCMS is not liable for any loss resulting from unauthorised access to your account.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
4. Intellectual Property
Content you create and publish through owlCMS remains yours. You grant owlCMS a limited licence to store and serve that content as part of the service.
The owlCMS platform, branding, and software are the intellectual property of owlCMS and may not be reproduced without permission.
5. Limitation of Liability
owlCMS is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
6. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of owlCMS after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
Privacy Policy
1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide when creating an account, such as your name and email address. When signing in via Google or GitHub, we receive basic profile information from those providers.
We also collect usage data such as page views and API call counts to improve the service.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to operate and improve owlCMS, send transactional emails (e.g. email verification, password reset), and communicate service updates.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
3. Data Storage
Your data is stored securely in MongoDB Atlas. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. Authentication sessions are managed by BetterAuth.
4. Cookies
owlCMS uses only functional cookies required for authentication. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies, and no cookie banner is shown.
5. Third-Party Services
owlCMS integrates with Google and GitHub for OAuth sign-in. Their respective privacy policies apply to data processed by those providers.
